This wedding at the Gassaway Mansion will go down as one of the most incredible ones of all time!! I had the pleasure of capturing Regan and Seth’s incredible day and it was a picture-perfect fall wedding. The most beautiful September wedding, their entire day was full of class, romance and elegance. I can’t wait to tell and show you some of my most favorite parts of the day… let’s get started!!
Located just a few hours from Charlotte in Greenville, SC, the Gassaway Mansion is a 1920s mansion that looks like it’s from a romance film. It has so much character and charm with the massive columns out front and a grand staircase inside! Full of beautiful stone and and history, it truly will make any wedding feel like a fairytale. There were so many unique spaces both inside and outside for photos, first looks and plenty of celebrating!
The bridal party made the most of their time getting ready for this special day! The girls had the cutest matching pajama sets and got ready upstairs at the mansion, while the boys got ready downstairs and enjoyed some pool.
Regan soaked in every second with her girls as she had a “first look” with her bridesmaids on the balcony outside where they got ready! She also enjoyed some precious time with her mom as she helped Regan with the final touches before the big day.
With timeless looks from New York Bride & Groom, Regan and Seth’s looks were so elegant and perfect together! Regan’s dress with her off-the-shoulder sleeves created such a classy look that paired sweetly with Seth’s killer green suit… not to mention he had the sweetest touch of having some Marvel comics sewn inside of it!
Before the event-filled day started, Regan and Seth gifted each other their own unique pair of kicks. Seth gave Regan custom Golden Goose sneakers that said “love is all we need” and were the absolute cutest! Seth rocked his new shoes for the wedding day that Regan gave him, which were the coolest brown leather boots.
Wanting to share the day with her precious parents, Regan’s first look with her dad was extra special. In the front airy room full of windows, they shared a memorable moment before walking down the aisle. Regan’s dad instantly began crying the second her saw her. The waterworks flowed in the whole room as they had us ALL crying! This was such a sweet moment as the tears turned into laughs. It was so evident how much Regan adores and cherishes her dad! *not me crying all over again*
They wanted to wait to see each other for the first time in the actual ceremony, ai Regan and Seth opted for a “first touch.” They read letters aloud that they wrote to each other while holding hands and standing back to back. This was such an intimate moment with the two of them while still waiting to see each other in the ceremony later on! (such a good option for any couples who don’t want to do a first look!)
Regan and Seth’s ceremony was out on the Gassaway Mansion’s front lawn under the September sky. Decorated with loads of flowers and acrylic clear chairs, this moment couldn’t have been more lovely. Seth, of course, cried when he saw his stunning bride and the couple said “I do” with all of their friends and family surrounding them!
With such a pretty fall color scheme, the bridesmaid’s rocked some classy burnt orange dresses that were paired with elegant green and white bouquets. The groomsmen wore sleek tan suits that looked so great next to Seth’s deep green suit!
When we did bridal party photos, Regan had a vision of a photo she wanted to capture with their entire group throwing white rose petals. Although the wind gave us quite a challenge, we were able to capture such fun photos as they threw the flower petals up in the air to create the MOST perfect photo with all of their friends!!
I just want to take a moment for us to adore this beautiful couple. Regan and Seth were STUNNING and the sweetest to spend the day with! We were able to create and capture some amazing photos of them after the ceremony thanks to the picturesque landscape of the Gassaway Mansion. It truly looked like we were taking photos outside of a castle with all of the stone and columns, yet we were only a few hours outside of Charlotte.
This venue is seriously the most incredible gem that anyone in the Greenville area HAS to check out!! Seriously, don’t miss this.
This was no ordinary tent reception… no, seriously. I have NEVER seen a tent look this great! The Gassaway Mansion team decked this place out to the nines and made it look incredible. Regan and Seth carried their timeless, elegant look from the ceremony into the reception decorated with so much greenery and florals! They had a jaw-dropping hanging floral display in the middle of the dance floor that created such a romantic atmosphere.
This whole reception, start to finish, was so. much. fun. White flip flops were left out for girls to change into so they could get down on the dance floor and Seth’s brother quoted “The Princess Bride” in his toast. “Mawaige. Mawiage is what brings us here today.” There was so much laughter and joy all around! After Seth and Regan had a sweet first dance under the hanging flowers, everyone joined in on the dance floor. The night was a blast as everyone danced to their wonderful band!
As the group got ready for the newly-married couples send off, Regan and Seth soaked in one final dance. They had such a fun send off as they road off on a tandem bike through a sparkler tunnel! Even the basket of flowers fell off the bike within seconds of their ride, lots of laughs were shared as the new Mr. and Mrs. ended their evening surrounded by everyone they love.
September 4th was so magical, through and through. It jut kept getting better as we went from one part of it to the next! I am SO grateful that Regan and Seth allowed me to capture their love story and wedding day! This day will go down as one of the most amazing weddings I have ever gotten to be a part of.
